Big Birthday Bash
David, Anna, and I traveled to Tulsa this weekend for my niece Addison’s first birthday party. (Sasha had to stay behind, but she had rather nice accommodations.) Happy birthday, Sweetie!
Addie had her own little cake to get into!
She got lots of presents that make lots of noise. (We, however, did not get her anything that makes noise. Andy and Jennie, remember that when Anna turns 1! )
They set up a kiddie pool in the backyard so the little ones could get wet, and Anna had her first swim! I think she liked it, or at least tolerated it. She didn’t really smile, but she didn’t fuss either—she just sat there and took it all in.
Yep, a one-year-old’s party can get a little wild! (Will Andy and Jennie forgive me for posting this picture?)
I’ve been wanting more pictures of Anna and Addie together, but it seems like whenever one’s awake and/or happy, the other’s asleep and/or fussy. Maybe next time…

Too cute pictures! Cousin pictures are always fun. My favorite one is Anna looking at the turtle. She looks just like her daddy going, “What the?”
i can’t believe your niece is already one! wow! that second pool pic of anna is precious. i love her sweet little face, she is so great!
yes, it is quiet sleeping. now, some nights he still wakes up every four hours or so, but some nights he is going 9. crazy! awesome!

I blinked and Jace isn’t a baby anymore. I remember now that your niece and Jace were born close to the same time. Wow.
