An Old Friend and a Photography Challenge
Last night we got to visit with my college friend Diana, her husband Tom, and their three boys. We all convened at my parents’ house and had dinner out there. It was the first time they had seen Anna, and the first time I had seen her younger two boys. (They live in the DC area now and don’t make it down this way too often, understandably!)
I took my camera and soon discovered how hard it is to photograph three active boys! (Becké and Anna W, y’all have quite a task!) Most of them were blurry. I got one of all three together, or at least the tops of their heads:

i kept misreading the second line as, “we all conceived at my parents house and had dinner” and kept going, surely that can’t be right. convened. you convened at your parents. much better. haha
Boys. Oh yes. Now, come the teenage years, I may change my tune. But for now, Jim and I are very happy with our two little GIRLS! You know, God really does know what He’s doing, and will give you whatever he thinks you need. I don’t think I could have handled boys. And I’m glad God felt the same way! haha!
J LOVES to go visit those boys. Last time we were there, the three “big” boys were running around at full speed and with much glee, in spite of the fact that two mommies kept telling them to stop (we were outnumbered). Then N fell on the floor, there was crying and a little blood, and that took care of the running. Hopefully the next visit will be injury-free.
I couldn’t find my battery charger for my camera so I had to leave it somewhere in AR – however, I’ve now got a digital SLR camera and that’s how you capture toddler boys in action! (No, I didn’t lose the charger on purpose!) I’m so very excited to actually have a picture of Nicholas – my little hurricane. By the way, great lemon pie and beautiful little girl!
Oooh, I’m so jealous! Every time I see a really good picture that someone took, turns out it was a digital SLR. I want one!
