Anna is turning 2!
We had a little birthday party for her last night. Small and simple—just the grandparents, a taco dinner, balloons, a couple of presents, and cake. I’m SO thankful I’ve been feeling better the past couple of days; I was afraid I’d be too sick to enjoy the party. I “outsourced” the cake this time, and I’m glad I did because it was super cute (thanks, Mom!). Anna had fun being the center of attention, getting some new goodies, and eating her “ye-yow” (yellow) cake!

I LOVE the third photo—the one of Anna celebrating the balloons! Hard to believe she’s two already. I’m glad you’re feeling better, and we missed you and your whistle at the session on St. Patrick’s Day.
Is yellow her favorite color?

Martha, I was SO bummed to have missed the session! I missed the parade, the session, and a friend’s “green party.” St. Patrick’s Day 2011 should be much better for us!
I don’t know that Anna has a favorite color, but yellow is one of the few she knows, and the first I noticed her saying with consistent accuracy.
Mae–that’s a sure way to win her over! Actually, it doesn’t take much to win her over; she likes everybody. Come see us!
When did she get such long hair? She is such a beautiful little girl. These early years are some of the most precious and will go super fast. Enjoy every minute! (or at least, most minutes :)
